Environmental Agreements Research Projects

• National Compliance with International Environmental Accords: A Global Environmental Change Research Project Conducted under the Auspices of the Social Science Research Council is an examination of the implementation of five treaties in nine countries, seeking "to produce comparable and in many instances quantitative data about compliance."
• Implementation and Effectiveness of International Environmental Commitments, a Project Conducted by the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), is a study of domestic implementation of international environmental agreements, as well as enforcement and verification of treaty provisions. The researchers plan to create a database of study results.
• SEER, a project sponsored by the European Commission.
• The Mesoamerican--Biodiversity Legal Project is a cooperative effort between North and Central American attorneys "to study and improve national and international law affecting the conservation and utilization of biodiversity in Mesoamerica."
